What do golfers use to mark their ball on the green?
Under the Rules of Golf (Rule 14, if you really care), you just need to mark the spot before lifting your ball: a coin, a tee, or a purpose-made ball marker all count. Most golfers use whatever loose change survived the halfway house. A proper marker does the same job with more weight, more visibility and considerably more character.
What size is a golf ball marker?
Most markers run 20 to 30mm across. Ours are close to a £1 coin in both size and weight (around 10g): big enough to spot from the other side of the green, heavy enough to stay put in wind.
